When I meet people I tell them that I am a producer for Good Morning America, which is true. Another part of my job is producing for a little overnight show called World News Now. 

If you have never heard of the show it airs from 2am-4am (check your local listings) and is an incredibly fun show to work on. WNN debuted 20 years ago today and I have never been prouder to have worked on this show. 

I started as a Desk Assistant doing a lot of funny stuff on the show… making fun of Lindsay Lohan sticks out in my mind… I’ve come a long way and am now producing behind the scenes.

The show is one of the most influential morning programs on television. More than the Today Show or GMA. Why? They watch World News Now when they get to the studio in the morning to see what is happening in the world. 

I realized this when I worked at Fox & Friends last year. Kicker video, Skinny segments, Morning Papers… all make their way onto morning shows across the country. Local and National. That’s why it is influential.
