If you live in one of these 10 ZIP codes, you pay among the highest income taxes in the country.

According to data from the 2008 tax year, first reported by Bloomberg News, the people of Memorial paid $1.53 billion in income tax, ranking seventh in the country, after six sections of Manhattan. The 10021 ZIP code, eight blocks between Central Park and the East River, generated the highest tax bill, $2.85 billion. Three New York City suburbs — Scarsdale, N.Y., and two parts of Greenwich, Conn. — rounded out the top 10.
